Matt Adam, Founder of We Are Group, won the prestigious Founders Award at The Impact Awards 2024 on the 14th March 2024, in recognition of his ongoing contributions and transformative work within the welfare sector.
Matt was praised by Digital Leaders, who presented the award, as a visionary figure who has been "outstanding every year and has delivered exceptional impact within the UK."
As the winner of the Founders Award, Matt expressed:
"It was a huge shock to win the award, but a great honour, and really nice to come from a peer-led group like Digital Leaders and so many amazing social impact founders that I really respect, like Gori from Upskill. It's certainly a painful journey scaling a start-up business, even more so a social enterprise, but the pain is worth it as it's a hugely enjoyable ride too!"
Matt has consistently pushed boundaries, challenging the status quo to drive significant, sustainable change. His innovative approach to welfare and passionate advocacy of tech-for-good has set new benchmarks in the welfare sector.
