The Situation

Our client was looking to commission a money support service which adopted a community-embedded, money education, and early intervention model.

They were particularly keen on having the successful organisation to be from the Voluntary, Community, Faith, Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector oversee delivery to guarantee trusted, accessible and culturally appropriate money education was delivered to all communities within the borough.

Our Solution

Mobilised in under 4 weeks, we designed a service utilising our community partner network to prevent hardship before it escalates into problem debt.

Delivery partners were selected based on their presence in the borough and successfully completed our due diligence checks. Delivery methods include one-to-one sessions, both in-person and remotely, and group training sessions in dedicated spaces.

By utilising community-based education, we were able to target more residents across the borough, making them aware of their financial rights, entitlements, as well as providing money education on safe money behaviours and signposting them to trusted and local support that is personalised and responsive to the residents financial vulnerability.

“By working with We Are Group and local community groups, we can reach residents where they feel most comfortable and provide support that helps prevent financial difficulties becoming a crisis. This partnership is another example of our commitment to supporting residents and creating stronger, more resilient communities.”
