We’ll ask a few questions about the kind of assistance you need and, if we can help, we will make an appointment for you to get support.
You will not be able to get help from the Assisted Digital Service if you require immigration advice (e.g. advice on which immigration form you need to complete) or an update on the progress of an immigration application you have already submitted. In the instance you do require additional support, you can find additional information on Gov.uk.
About Our Assisted Digital Service
If you are in the UK and require help completing an online Home Office application, our free Assisted Digital Service can provide you with the help you need to fill in your online application.
Known as assisted digital support, service is free of charge and will assist you to complete an online application for a Visa that does not require a sponsor, British Citizenship, and the EU Settlement Scheme.
Applications we can support with:
- Family Visa
- British Citizenship
- Indefinite Leave to Remain
- Travel Documents
- Reporting and replacing lost certificates/cards
- Changes in circumstances
- Transferring visas from expired passports
- Settlement Refugee Applications
Applications we can't support with:
- Visitor Visa
- Student Visa (Tier 4)
- Work Visa
- Exceptional Talent (Tier 1)
- Skilled Employment (Tier 2)
- Short Term Worker (Tier 5)
We provide support to help you complete your application or create a UKVI account through one of three methods:
1. Face-to-face support at a community centre
This option is available subject to not having access to a computer or mobile device (iPhone or Android). You will be booked in with one of our community partner centres where you will have support to complete your application.
2. Telephone support from a skilled advisor
When completing the application over the phone, you will receive on-demand support from one of our trusted agents. This support is subject to having access to a computer or mobile device, including an iPhone or Android.
3. Face-to-face support at home
A We Are Group trainer will visit your home and support you with completing your online application form.

How does it work?
Our team will assess your individual needs to determine the most appropriate level of support.
Depending on your situation, we will arrange either over-the-phone assistance (if you have access to a computer or mobile device) or face-to-face support at one of our centres for more complex queries. This includes help with completing online forms or uploading documents if you lack access to a device.
For those unable to visit a centre, we can also arrange in-home support provided by one of our experienced trainers.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. The help and support we give you is free.
I need to cancel/ reschedule my appointment.
In the event of needing to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact us at your earliest convenience by calling or emailing us and provide information on the service it was for and the reason why you need to cancel/ reschedule.
Mobile devices: iPhone and Android.
One of the criteria for this Assisted Digital Service is not having access to a mobile device such as an iPhone or Android as these are considered smartphones.
To be considered a smartphone your mobile device must be a "handheld electronic device that provides a connection to a cellular network and the internet". This includes an iPhone or Android.

What if you can't help me?
The Assisted Digital service is limited to helping you use a computer to complete your application.
We cannot provide immigration advice, assist with selecting the correct forms, or give updates on the status of applications. If you require immigration advice, please consult an immigration adviser, which you can find here.
